Reporting to the Vice President of Strategic Partnerships, this role is an exciting opportunity for a senior leader who is energized by the idea of evolving how a pan-Canadian health organization drives positive impact on the health outcomes of First Nations, Inuit and Métis people and partners through implementing the refreshed Canadian Strategy for Cancer Control.
The Director, First Nations, Inuit and Métis Cancer Strategy has a number of core accountabilities. The Director is responsible for oversight and successful implementation of the First Nations, Inuit and Métis funded initiative and program-led projects that are grounded in Peoples-specific and self-determined priorities. This involves providing strategic leadership to the organization and team, developing and maintaining relationships and partnerships, leading engagement and implementation approaches and strategically connecting this work throughout the organization. This work is focused on delivering against a set of target outcomes in 2022, including enhanced equity within the cancer control system and improved quality of care experienced by First Nations, Inuit and Métis patients and families.
