The 2021 FNHMA Virtual Event and Celebration will be held November 3, 2021, from 10am to 4pm ET and will focus on the important work underway on anti-Indigenous racism. We will also honour the resilience and innovation of health managers across Turtle Island and celebrate the 2021 Certified First Nations Health Manager (CFNHM) graduates.

This year’s event promises to be a powerful and memorable coming together of leaders committed to reconciliation and to ending anti-Indigenous racism in the healthcare system.

2020 Virtual Celebration – CLOSED

Thank you for joining us in thanking, honouring and celebrating health care workers and the NEW Certified First Nations Health Managers (CFNHM’s) during the November 4th live stream of the FNHMA Virtual Celebration. This dynamic 3-hour celebration, included powerful guest speakers, moving tributes, and exciting musical guests, we awarded the CFHI Leadership Award Leading Through Difficult Times, and ended with a ceremony honouring our 2020 graduates. We also acknowledged the contribution of individuals and organizations who recognize the importance of celebrating ALL health workers across the country for their tremendous contributions during these difficult times.

National Conference 2021 has been postponed.

The FNHMA 2021 in-person conference in Victoria has been postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. We will be holding the conference in Victoria in November 2022 and we will confirm the dates as soon as possible. For information, please email Micheline Bélanger at the conference secretariat at conference@fnhma.ca.

The FNHMA hosts an annual conference every Fall focusing on current issues and best practices in health management. On a yearly basis, we have 500 participants join us at our conferences and we also host an accompanying trade show.

Our conferences address trends, issues, tools, and successes in the areas of quality improvement and assurance; leadership and governance; professionalism; advocacy, partnerships and relationships; human resource management; financial management and accountability; health service delivery; planning; communication; and cultural awareness.

Our conference workshops and events are geared towards all aspiring and currently practicing health professionals. Our conferences also offer a great opportunity to network with other health directors, managers, and coordinators; band councilors; as well as elders from all across Canada.
