Virtual Celebration

Join us in thanking, honouring and celebrating all health workers and NEW Certified First Nations Health Managers (CFNHM) during a virtual celebration on Wednesday, November 4, 2020.

FNHMA is producing a dynamic 3-hour celebration, including powerful guest speakers, moving tributes, and exciting musical guests, the presentation of the CFHI Leadership Award Leading Through Difficult Times, all this culminating in a ceremony honouring our 2020 graduates.

We will also acknowledge the contribution of individuals and organizations who recognize the importance of celebrating ALL health workers across the country for their tremendous contributions during these difficult times.

Is there someone in your community who is making a difference and showing signs of leadership during these difficult times? Prepare a brief video (30 seconds) by yourself or gather a group of colleagues / friends and tell us about this person. Send us your video and it could be chosen to be aired on November 4!

National Conference 2020 has been postponed.

The FNHMA 2020 in person conference in Victoria has been postponed due to the covid-19 pandemic. We will be holding the conference in Victoria in November 2021 and we will confirm the dates as soon as possible. For information, please email Micheline Bélanger at the conference secretariat at conference@fnhma.ca.

The FNHMA hosts an annual conference every Fall focusing on current issues and best practices in health management. On a yearly basis, we have 500 participants join us at our conferences and we also host an accompanying trade show.

Our conferences address trends, issues, tools, and successes in the areas of quality improvement and assurance; leadership and governance; professionalism; advocacy, partnerships and relationships; human resource management; financial management and accountability; health service delivery; planning; communication; and cultural awareness.

Our conference workshops and events are geared towards all aspiring and currently practicing health professionals. Our conferences also offer a great opportunity to network with other health directors, managers, and coordinators; band councilors; as well as elders from all across Canada.
