These courses in the First Nations Health Manager Program lead to the Certified First Nations Health Managers (CFNHM) professional designation.
The online courses are delivered over a 12 week period. They start on September 17th, 2018 and finish on December 7th, 2017. The tuition cost for the online delivery is $750 per course plus applicable taxes for members, for non-members, it is $925.
Individuals taking the online courses will need access to the internet, e-mail and a computer on a regular basis. The course is available online 24/7. The course follows a weekly schedule to enable discussion of lesson material in the discussion forum. It is up to you when participating to decide what times will best fit into your schedule. It is recommended that you set aside course time to ensure you keep on top of your course workload. If you know you are going to be busy or away, you can work ahead or catch up when you return. Assignments however have very specific due dates. A student typically spends 10 hours per week, but this can vary depending on your experience level in a given topic area, and may increase leading up to an assignment due date.
Individuals not able to leave their community for any length of time or are comfortable with the internet and have some social media experience will find this format a convenient way to take a course.
