Careers at FNHMA

We are not just another employer.

Working at FNHMA impacts First Nations peoples and we take that very seriously.

We’ll go first...

If you’re thinking of applying to join the FNHMA—well that is wonderful and amazing! There are just a few things that we want you to know before you hit that submit button—because finding the right fit matters to us (and to you too, we hope).

First, we are a First Nations organization. That doesn’t mean that everyone who works here is First Nations, but it does mean that everyone who works here is committed to reconciliation. We are not just another employer. Working at FNHMA impacts First Nations peoples and we take that very seriously.

Second, we really need you to understand that we are a family. Yes, we know LOTS of organizations say this. But here, it is our truth. This means that we lift each other up, we support each other, and we work together at all levels. Because what we do is too important to waste time competing with one another.

Third, we are a roll-up-your-sleeves and get-the-job-done kind of place. This means that when we need to, we pull together and don’t worry too much about job titles and descriptions.

And finally, you will need to have a sense of humour here. Laughter sustains us.

If you are ready to do truly meaningful work and have an impact on First Nations health and wellness across Turtle Island, we would love to hear from you. Don’t wait for a job posting! Reach out and let us know why you want to join the family.
